This online image of the summit taken when this was an overbridge and shows the boxed in signal wires. The
eastbound A66 is still taking the original road alignment which passed above and behind the railway cotages in the image linked below. The westbound A66 has obliterated the cottages and the railway embankment on that side, while the wall remains
rising up to a field gate where the overbridge ended.
